Description
Aalborg University is a Danish university located in Aalborg, Denmark and established in 1974. Aalborg University is the fifth largest university in Denmark. The Faculty of Humanities at The Department of Culture and Global Studies offers two PhD positions within Language and Linguistics. You need to formulate a research project (no more than ten pages). It must be one of the following: Danish, English, Spanish or German (or a combination of these).
Research fields:
*Descriptions of specific linguistic phenomena, for example within selected genres or types of texts
*The functionality of language
*The interaction between a) language and cognition, b) language and culture, c) language and identity or d) language and society
*Language policy
*Comparative language studies
*Second/foreign language acquisition
The application must provide an outline of how the proposed project contributes to research conducted in the research group LangLing. Applications may be submitted in Danish or English.
Scholarships value
Funded. The PhD positions are part of the Obel Family Foundation Elite PhD programme at the Faculty of Humanities at Aalborg University. The Obel Family Foundation is a corporate family foundation established in 1956.
